Blogosis is Back

blogosis-blog-magazine-news1 Blogosis is Back

As you can see, I’m here and back working on Blogosis. I’ve been away for about 3 - 4 months now, and I just felt it was time to get back on track. You’ll probably notice, though, that Blogosis isn’t the same.

I’ve transitioned to a news/magazine style blog. This allows for a lot more freedom in the overall design and topics covered on Blogosis. I’m no longer just covering the topic of blogs and blogging alone, although that will still remain core to Blogosis and always will. However, I’m am spreading out the expertise of Blogosis to cover a vast range of topics from entertainment, politics, gaming and more. It is due to the fact that I am breaking away from just the blogging blogger niche, and into an alternative and opinionated source of news in blogging format.

The blog gives freedom to express one’s opinion and ideas, while news sources need to be factual and informational. There is no entertainment value to the news which is why I am here to change that. Opinion is full of entertainment and emotion.

So with that being said and done, I’d like to open the doors of Blogosis once again.

If anyone would like to join the team here at Blogosis (so far, it is just me), feel free to jump aboard. You get a shiny new @blogosis.com email, access to review current news with an opinion, let your voice be heard, and when advertising bonuses start rolling in, trust me when I say you will get a big piece of cake. Eventually, I plan to make Blogosis big enough to have its own office full of staff. Shiny.

E-mail me if you want in at contact@justindupre.com.

Kicking off a new Blog

So I just got www.justindupre.com online. Yeah, its another blog authored by me. This one is about freelancing, and more specifically, freelance writing because that is the only type of freelance work I do. Check it out if you are thinking about getting into the business of freelancing.

Anyways, it wasn’t easy setting up this blog, and any newbs out there to blogging should know that it isn’t all sugar and candy. There are blog themes to discuss,  content you should prepare beforehand, marketing tactics, and hours and hours of time will be needed to do all this. Setting up Justin Dupre.com took me about 8 hours from searhing through themes to getting the couple posts and pages up with plug-ins and all the other blogging necessities.

Having a blog is a time user. You need to update it regularly, care for its aesthetics, write posts, configure it for more traffic, reply to comments and emails and all sorts of other tasks. So before you start a blog, just make sure you are prepared for this amount of time you will need to work on it.

Even if you aren’t the most free person in the world, logged down by work, school or other activities, there are several ways you can still maintain a blog. Some of the most popular blogs on the net only update once or twice a week. Try setting aside 1 hour on the weekend just to blog. Blog durig your work break, or during a boring class that you won’t gain extra knowledge from (listen to your math lessons though. Working on my websites has made that grade bad. Really, really bad. Heh). Write posts down when you don’t have access to a computer and type them later.

Eventually, you’ll get into the groove of things and be blogging faster than a pro. Or, you might decide this isn’t the path for you. Either way, it is still time well spent as it can help you learn more about yourself as well as time management

Clickbooth isn’t done yet…

Alright, I’m tired of these Clickbooth posts just as much as you, but I am pretty empty on ideas right now and clogged up with client work and school. So, one of their reps contacted me on MSN to support their (allegedly) disintegrating image. There is good news from it though. That email was not a C&D letter, so I don’t have to worry about getting sued just yet. Yay! Anyways, here is what they had to say:

Justin - Freelance Content Publisher for Hire says:
Whos this?
Ziare says:
Hi Justin this is Ziare with clickbooth
Ziare says:
how are you
Justin - Freelance Content Publisher for Hire says:
Fine.
Ziare says:
I wanted to reach out to you about some of your blogs regarding clickbooth
Justin - Freelance Content Publisher for Hire says:
I figured so.
Ziare says:
We just wanted to have a chance to discuss the situation
Ziare says:
and clear up any misconceptions
Justin - Freelance Content Publisher for Hire says:
Ok.
Ziare says:
do you have a few moments?
Justin - Freelance Content Publisher for Hire says:
Yup.
Ziare says:
the email you received from us was not a C&D, just wanted to clear that up
Justin - Freelance Content Publisher for Hire says:
Okay.
Ziare says:
C&D’s only come from our lawyers
Ziare says:
but we still wanted to reach out and defend our reputation
Justin - Freelance Content Publisher for Hire says:
I think it might be a tad to late for that.
Ziare says:
why is that?
Justin - Freelance Content Publisher for Hire says:
It is ruined amongst the community. Not just an individual.
Ziare says:
thats not true
Justin - Freelance Content Publisher for Hire says:
Alright.
Justin - Freelance Content Publisher for Hire says:
So what is true? I am assuming most of the Wicked Fire members, as well as Jon, aren’t? Correct?
Ziare says:
well the allegations that we dont pay our publishers are false
Justin - Freelance Content Publisher for Hire says:
Of course.
Justin - Freelance Content Publisher for Hire says:
So they are lying?
Ziare says:
they are definitely mistaken
Justin - Freelance Content Publisher for Hire says:
Alright.
Ziare says:
how is thailand btw, I had a chance to visit bangkok a couple years ago
Justin - Freelance Content Publisher for Hire says:
Fine.

Yeah, I admit I was a bit cold with them. What do you expect, though.

Who likes the new theme? I’m trying to clean it up a little here and there, so expect a lot of changes.

Hey you! I need you…

Justin here is getting a little lazy. He wants to know if you want to blog for him! He’ll give you a dollar!!! Hehe

It is a great way to get your name out with over 50+ subscribers, and you’d be doing me a big favor as this week will be killer in school for me. Tests, applications for college, girls, partyin….. Just kidding about those last two. Anyways, I have no guest posters, and haven’t had any yet. If you want to see your post up here, just email me at justindupre @ blogosis.com! Alrighty? Cool.

I’m looking for another new layout for this blog. Always looking! Heh

Why Shouldn’t You Blog?

If you are afraid of getting a little (bad) attention, stop blogging.

This whole C&D thing with me (as well as a few others) and Clickbooth has gotten ridiculous. I’ve been having a lot of trouble sleeping because of the email they’ve sent me. Can this be taken as the real deal? Will I get my butt sued off? Does it matter?

I don’t really know.

Is it worth it to go through what could be possible trouble for me? I could be facing a case against a company with millions of dollars to it’s name. What have I got? 200 in my pocket, and that’s for rent. Obviously, it would be mindless to keep the post up if these guys at Clickbooth are serious. Do I think they are serious? Yes, I do.  So why is the post still up?

I don’t really know.

I guess it is a pride thing. The freedom of speech, the freedom of communication, and the freedom of press (no matter what form it is in) are all things an American is born with. I’ve never been an outspoken person. I’ve kept quiet about a lot of crap in my life. I’ve backed down from a lot of that crap. Now isn’t the time to do it. I haven’t been sued, yet.

I’m sure if the threats increase, I will have to take them down. If I get a “real” C&D note from a lawyer, it will be removed. Getting an email from relations just isn’t going to cut it. Relations has absolutely no power in the law besides telling me to stop blogging falsities. Alright, sure. You got it Clickbooth. But I never told one lie in that post. I just informed what I allegedly knew about the alleged situation, and what everyone is allegedly saying you are allegedly up to… allegedly they say.

If you are going to bully someone around, bring in the big dogs the first time. This is absolutely ridiculous, Clickbooth. I don’t want to be sued, and you putting your money into suing me or any other little time blogger probably isn’t worth the lawyer fees you would undergo doing so.

Instead of suing us, why don’t you ask us what would make us take the posts down? How can you get on our good sides? How can you befriend Jon and the other Wickedfire members? How can you gain back the trust of a whole lot of affiliate marketers? How can you get your ads back in that marketing magazine?  Attacking us (allegedly) hasn’t seemed to have been of much help. And allegedly, it could mean the end of Clickbooth… allegedly. Thats my opinion at least, given to me by the 1st Amendment, thank you very much.

So, yeah, I should take the post down, just to save myself what allegedly…….. might be a lot of trouble. I don’t think I will though. Maybe I am just lazy, which I really am. Or maybe I just want to let others know what is going on with me and Blogosis. Because this domain is my property. What goes on my domain stays mine. It doesn’t all have to be valid fact, but I don’t go around pushing lies that can get me sued.

John Lemp, please, if you are still emotionally distressed from my posts, let me know. I know it must be tough for you. All that money in your pockets must not be enough (opinion/guess of mine… I’m not saying that could be false. Perhaps it isn’t enough. I don’t know). You don’t have to sue me to get emotionally stable. Write me personally, hell… call me!! (country exit code (I think it is 001 for the USA)) - 66 - 08 - 5617 - 0895. I will take all these posts down in an instant if you can prove to me it is hurting you. That’s no problem. Ask for Justin, and be aware I might answer in Thai (Hul - lo = Hello (Haha)). Alrighty?

I want to be cool with you Clickbooth. I want it honestly. I need to join some affiliate programs now that I got some shiny new credit cards. Its time for some extra revenue, you know? There is so much that could happen here, but I think you are just taking it all in the wrong direction. Maybe I am wrong though.

I really don’t know.

Blogging without Stimulation

blogrock Blogging without Stimulation

I’ve been away for a few days. I hope you guys didn’t miss me that much. What have I been doing? I’ve had a big project I have been working on for a client. That’s been steady, buy easy work. Other than that, I have been doing absolutely nothing. I’ve been bored to death, stuck in my room, without a thing to do. I opened the write page on this blog, but the words never came. I really do love to write and I find it extremely easy to do, but it only seems like I can do it when I am stimulated to do so.

This is probably why I haven’t been on here very much. You’ve seen when I blog that I have a reason that I do so. I write a story, or tell you about something I did and relate it to blogging. Well, doing absolutely nothing leaves me with absolutely nothing to write about. When I say I did nothing, I mean nothing. I left my apartment to get some fried chicken and eat it in my room. That has been about it.

I love my freelance work, and I do it a couple hours a day. What is my stimuli? Money. I love writing for money. I adore it. I cherish it. It’s easy to write 500 words in 15 minutes, check it for grammar and spelling errors in another 2 minutes, and email it to the client 1 minute later. Then I get a new payment received notice in my email with $20+ dollars attached. It’s good money, and worth the quality work I put into it. I do admit, I probably wouldn’t do any work for free, unless I was exchanging services that would be essential for my business.

So, I am going to try to get something more to stimulate me into blogging here. Either you guys have to start buying my ads (I’ll sell them for 5 bucks now), or I have to take it into my own hands. I am thinking it would be easier for me to find something to get me to write than make you buy advertisements on this blog. I’m going to try spending a little more time away from the computer, and a little more time outside.

I’ve got a trip to my girlfriend’s house planned tomorrow. Her parents live a little outside of Bangkok so it might be nice to take a break from the hustle and bustle (of my single room apartment?) of the city. That should be a nice sidetracking venture to settle my mind.

I’ve also decided to completely move out of Bangkok for 2 months. I’ve got to start saving money, and renting 2 apartments means I am spending 200+ extra dollars a month. Talk about inefficient.  I will be back in May after I finish my first year in university. Crazy to think that it is only 2 months away. I plan to ace my classes, except my Formal Logic class. English is great, but figuring out formulas to create truth tables and all that crap is ridiculous. Socrates or Plato or whichever one of you other Greek or Roman or whatever guys that did this are crazy. Any who, as long as I get my C, I get my credits, and that is all I need.

Oh, I’m giving away 3 125 x 125 ad spots here. You don’t have to buy them like I said. Be the first commenters (3 of you) to comment here with anything. You can write another language, I could care less. Just want to see if any of you read this post this far. :p

After you comment, send the 125 x 125 ad to contact@justindupre.com. Tis my new email and domain, but I only have a little tiny blog up there for now. I still need a design. This will be my freelance blog, by the way. Subscribe now! Haha.

Blogging Persona’s: Anonymity

Blogging Person Anonymous

What do you think about a blogger’s ability to stay absolutely anonymous? You know, I might not really be Justin Dupre. I might be your daughter’s next stalker or something, waiting for someone to give me their personal information so I can find them. Rawr. Is anonymity an issue and do you choose to stay anonymous on your blog? I covered this in an argument with Blogger Noob once, but I’m gonna go over my ideas, again.

I think there is just that much more power to a blogger that retains his anonymity. They can pretend to be something/someone they really aren’t if they are good at it. I’ve done this on a blog of mine to see the results. I’ve had some mistakes which got noticed by a few people, but before that, it was going relatively well. I was able to pretend I was a professional in the niche. People believed me! It was funny how easy it was to trick people.

For those that are honest, and let the world know who they really are, more power to you, too. You didn’t need tricks and gimmicks to put you on your blog. People know you because of you. People appreciate honesty, and will count on you for more information, even if you aren’t a guru on the subject. If you can tell people even a little about what they don’t know already know in a certain niche, you are helping out. It is much more ethical that pushing out a barrel of lies.

Why should you lie? Well, you shouldn’t, but you can. It is always an open option for anyone choosing to make a blog, and especially a successful one. It is difficult though. You can’t go around making claims that you don’t really have evidence to support. You might have to mock up some images, or get someone to help you in your plans. You’ll have to tell a bare minimum of information, as well. I got in over my head which is why my other blog failed. It was an experiment and for a while, a successful one.

I think if you are considering blogging to make money, this may be your best way to start out. Do a ton of research, make a second persona, and pretend you know what you are talking about. Copy what little, tiny starter blogs are saying (Many have awesome info that hasn’t hit the mainstream, yet) and start blogging about it.

For those that don’t mind taking it slow and steady, do it the natural way. Ultimately, it is all down to the content you provide and how many people you can get to read it, no matter how you do it.

For me, I keep it cool for you on this blog.

My Experiment Worked

Sexy Pancake Blogger

Pancake

So I wanted to see if I would get some extra traffic with that girly girl post I did yesterday or whatever day I did that. I forgot. Any who, it worked. More people clicked the link on their RSS aggregators and came to take a closer look. No one commented… except Bruce, but maybe you’re all just too shy to do so.

Anyways, in conclusion, sex sells even on a blogging blog.

Wanna get more traffic? Then I condone the use of sex on your blog. Not like, real sex, and you should probably keep those nakey pictures of your girlfriend/boytoy to yourself, but maybe pop in a picture of a celebrity or pretty lady in your headline. Seems to have worked pretty well for me. Posting pictures of sexy Thai girls is a nice way to draw attention to your blog, I guess.

Oh as for stats, normally only about 30 heads pop up around here, but yesterday made a high 70s count. Quite a quick change in temperature. I also got about 8 more subscribers.

Anyways, I am headed to Bangkok now. So tired, so I’m going to try to sleep on this rattle (bus). Should be a fun two weeks as I am not on midterm break. Lots of work, too, which is a good think.

I also started a new website. Go look at it at http://www.linktoword.com .  You can buy links by picking a word, and they cost a dollar per letter. Go buy the word “A” to test it out. I think it’s a great script.

Blogging About Women

I won’t lie about why I came to Thailand, alright? Honestly, what kid my age comes to Thailand, jacked up on adolescent hormones, to study Thai culture? It was a nice side trip, sure! And it certainly helps when flirting with the ladies. Yeah, thats right, the girls in Thailand are amazingly gorgeous (well… some). What does this have to do with blogging? Absolutely nothing. I don’t even know why I am blogging about this. Maybe so you see my horrible fetish or something like that. Anyways, I told you my blog was going to start going way off track, so now it is. Feel free to end your subscription now. I’m just going to do a run down of some of my favorite Thai girls.

Peak

justinsbloggerbabe.jpg833_20070905p1.jpgpattarasaya_001.jpg

Ah, you all know her as my supermodel girlfriend. I know her as Peak. This cutie is 20 years old, living in Bangkok lavishly, and spending her free time with me. Granted that isn’t much, because most of the time she is off doing a fund-raiser, acting in a new soap opera that just started up, working the set of a new movie or getting shot for the latest issue of the hottest fashion magazines. Ah, she’s so cute.

Four + Mod

I love these two. Four older one (yet in my opinion much cuter). Mod (pronounced Mote/Mode) is younger figure in this Thai pop sensation. Known for cute lyrics, I can’t stop myself from bobbing my head when I hear their catchy tunes. It is actually pretty retarded music if you can understand it. One of their latest hits, “Dek Mi Phan Ha/Kids Have Problems!” was absolutely ridiculous. You can watch it below. Cute as hell though. I’ve seen them once for about a split second, but I wanted to die. It was like I went to heaven.

Edit: Youtube is effing with my blog, so go watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBNP0q4y8VQ

Pancake

pancaky Blogging About Women

pancake.jpgpancake000654.jpgpancakeblog.jpg

Ahg, ohhhh… *die*. Eieeeeeee. I’m totally going Anime nerd geeko on you guys when I talk about Pancake. I don’t know what the hell she does except look absolutely adorable and cute and sexy and all those other words that would get me in a lot of trouble with every government around the world. She was rated in the top ten of the sexiest women in the world from Maxim Thai edition (included models from around the world). Ahhhhhhh… she is hot. Peak might have some competition with her if we ever get the chance to meet.

There are too many more to mention. And I’m lazy… and I have work… and I have to fill out a school application. Gah. Too much to do, too many distractions.

Maybe sex will bring me more traffic to my blog

What’s Happened to Blogosis

businessblogger Whats Happened to Blogosis

I’ve changed, that’s what has happened. Perhaps it has been due to my lack of sleep, but something is changing me. I’m getting way too lazy to do anything much that involves “work.” I’m so sad to say that this keeping this blog up has become “work” for me, instead of having fun and using it to express everything I want to.

A blog shouldn’t be considered work. Even, for some of the professional “web publishers” out there, they don’t even coin their “work” as “work.” It’s something that passes your time by, that gives you an outlet for writing and experiences and knowledge you have. I obviously haven’t been doing that the past couple weeks. February hasn’t been a good month (for me or the blog).

How am I going to turn this around? By writing about things I love and things that I know the best. What does this mean for the blog? It means it might stray away from blogging from here to there on my posts. It means that I might start doing restaurant reviews like a certain Asian I know. It means I will be covering a random amount of topics that come up in my thoughts and daily life. I’ll still try to tie in some connections to blogging in all my posts, but I am not making any promises.

I know this means I will lose half, if not all of my readers. Am I too concerned with that? Nope. I started this blog to see if it would make any money, and it really hasn’t. I got 5 bucks for an ad and that’s about all this blog has made me in the 2 months it’s been online. I’ve since found better ways to make money online, which is obviously working (tracked on my sidebar).

I will try to keep the monthly contest alive, although its performance this month has been lack luster. I may end up fixing it to a certain amount of money, until I am certain I make enough money to pay for college.

Like I said, I will most likely lose half my subscribers. I don’t blame you. Why add a random blog to your RSS feed anyways. Stick around for my writing if you enjoy it. If you need a blog about blogging specifically though, you have better options that have covered every topic already. No use regurgitating content.

So, what will I be covering? Blogging a bit, SEO, making money and all that crap, my experiments with Adwords and all that junk, freelance writing and graphic design, as well as random topics like what I had for lunch (hopefully I can get Chow to guest post), who said what during my courses, where I am and where the party is at during the weekend, Thai life and culture and girls, my supermodel girlfriend, and random shiat that pops into my head. I could make a bunch of different blogs for this, but I’m too lazy to do any more work.
