Olympic Net-Casts Taken by Terra

The Beijing Birdnest Sports StadiumTerra, owned by Spain’s Telefonica - the largest Internet company in Latin America, now owns the rights to broadcast the Olympic Games of Beijing via their website. Terra has said it will be ready to launch on August 1st.

The site will feature 13 different channels, covering the events, news and happenings of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games 24 hours each day the games are held. They also plan to provide SMS updates, downloads of old streams, live coverage and image galleries to it’s visitors.

I guess this is just part of all the hype over the Olympic Games in Biejing. I’ve never been one for the Summer Olympics, but I know it might mean something to some people. Like Chinese people. I wonder how much the government is setting aside to bribe the judges into only giving golds to Chinese competitors. You know what? They probably have so many Chinese competitors that they’ll have 20 Chinese in one race, and then 5 other competitors from other countries.

The Chinese are crazy about the Olympics, yo!
