Blogosis is taken from the word “blog” and the suffix “-osis.” We all know what a blog is, but unless you can remember your 9th grade biology courses, you may be confused by the blogosis suffix. –Osis, in some cases, is the abnormality of something. Well, I certainly hope this stuff I’m writing isn’t abnormal. In this case, -osis is defined as the process of.
Blog – A weblog. A diary, journal, writing about a niche (or many niches) in a sequential online setting.
-Osis – The process of
Blogosis – The process of a blog (or blogging)
Blogosis is a blog about “the process of a blog.” What is the process of a blog? It is everything from the planning of a blog to the publishing of a post, everything before planning, everything in-between, and everything after your post is published. That is just what I plan to cover in Blogosis. Everything that pertains to a blog.
I notice a lot of bloggers focus on how to make money from their blog. They all draw to the same conclusion: that you need good, original content. They fail to help you get that original content out of your head. This will be a specialty of Blogosis dot com. I really want to focus on planning and writing your posts. This will be intermittently spread out with articles on new tools of the trade, design techniques, advertising, use of affiliates, interviews and personal experiences about blogging.
So, let 2008 bring a new blog to town. “Blogosis: The Process of a Blog” hopes to be an active blog throughout the blogosphere and I promise to make that happen. So without further wait, let the blogging begin.
